“ I get by with a little help from my friends” ~ John Lennon

Born to two Beatles-enthusiastic Norwegians, I could barely walk when I first fell in love with London, England — a city that would later become my home for 15 years. In 2024, I felt the call of the motherland and returned to Norway with my family.

I believe that change is not only possible — it’s inevitable. Still, meaningful change takes time. My girlfriends are my saviours, my family is my anchor, and yoga brings me joy.

That joy began over 11 years ago as something I shared with friends, and gradually it grew into a grounding practice that helped me stay sane in the fast-paced buzz of London. I love the pubs, the sarcasm, and the generous English hearts — so marrying an Englishman always felt like it was written in the stars.

Somewhere along the way, I decided to dig deeper into yoga and began my teacher training in the city I adore. Today, I offer Hatha-style yoga classes tailored to people with special and additional needs. I’m passionate about inclusivity and committed to showing how yoga is for everyone.

Now that my journey has brought me back to my roots, I’m working on sharing the joy of yoga with communities here in Norway.

In my classes, I aim to create a space and a class where you are met with Encouragement; to feel confident to start your own yoga journey wherever that may be. To bring Honesty; where I will always be transparent of my own abilities and limitations as a teacher. As well as Positivity; by respecting and honouring our beautiful uniqueness’s and differences.

MY TRAINING

Image description: a drawing of me supporting a student practicing warrior two on a chair. The student is wearing a purple onesie. I am wearing a black onesie in the drawing.

The 350+ hour Yoga Teacher Training course at Triyoga was completed in 2021, a rigorous 2 years training facilitated by two incredibly inspiring teachers, Tony Watson and Anna Ashby. My diploma is fully recognised and accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga, Yoga Alliance Professionals (Yoga Alliance UK), and the Yoga Alliance USA.My 5 month training with Special Yoga Ltd was also completed in 2021.

I have a BSc (Honours) degree in Psychology and over 5 years of working with neurodivergent people prior to becoming a yoga teacher. With this knowledge, I can confidently and safely support people within the special needs community and their caregivers on their yoga journey.

Yoga philosophy is teaching me how to unify my physical and subtle body, how my human experience runs deeper than my layers of flesh and bone. The ancient teachings can honesty feel overwhelming, and challenging, as a 21st western woman to take in. But I am reminding myself to be patient. To continue to show up to my practice, and only share what I so far can grasp. And to continuing forward with an inquisitive mind for the concepts not yet fully understood.

STUDENT FIRST

I will always be a student first, and what I know cannot be credited to myself, but to my teachers and those who went before them. Here are a few that you should look up that I personally follow and are inspired by.

Tony Watson
Anna Ashby

Tara Brach
Jyoti Jo Manuel
