“ I get by with a little help from my friends” ~ John Lennon
Yoga is for every body and every mind.
I’m Linn-Kristin Goldsmith, founder of Adaptiv Yoga Nordic. I grew up in Norway, but London, England captured my heart early on. A city that would later become my home for 15 years. In 2024, I felt the pull back to my roots and returned to Norway with my family, bringing with me a vision: to share yoga in a way that truly meets people where they are.
Yoga has been part of my life for over 12 years. It began as a grounding practice among friends, helping me navigate the fast pace of life in London. Over time, it became my passion and purpose: a tool for calm, confidence, and connection.
I completed a 350+ hour Hatha-style Yoga Teacher Training at Triyoga in London, a rigorous 2 years training guided by Tony Watson and Anna Ashby. This training is fully recognised and accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga, Yoga Alliance Professionals (UK), and Yoga Alliance USA. I also completed a 5-month Special Yoga training in 2021.
With a BSc (Honours) in Psychology and over 9 years of experience working with people with special needs, I bring knowledge, care, and confidence to every class. My goal is to create accessible and inclusive yoga experiences that meet people where they are physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Yoga philosophy is teaching me how to unify my physical and subtle body, how my human experience runs deeper than my layers of flesh and bone. The ancient teachings can honesty feel overwhelming, and challenging, as a 21st western woman to take in. But I am reminding myself to be patient. To continue to show up to my practice, and only share what I so far can grasp. And to continuing forward with an inquisitive mind for the concepts not yet fully understood.
Student first: I will always be a student first, and what I know cannot be credited to myself, but to my teachers and those who went before them. Here are a few that you should look up that I personally follow and are inspired by: Tony Watson, Anna Ashby, Daniel Simpson, Tara Brach, Jyoti Jo Manuel.
