Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of yoga do you teach?

Adaptiv Yoga Nordic offers Hatha-inspired, adaptive yoga with a focus on slow pace, breath, nervous system regulation, and individual adaptation rather than performance.

Classes may include:

  • physical movement (asana)

  • breathing practices (pranayama)

  • guided rest or meditation

The form and length of each session vary depending on intention and group.

Who are the classes suitable for?

Classes are open to:

  • beginners and experienced practitioners

  • people with disabilities or functional variations

  • parents, caregivers, teachers, and professionals

You participate on your own terms. There is no “right” way to practice.

What should I wear?

Wear clothes you feel comfortable in. Tighter clothing can make guidance easier, but it is not required.

Can I eat before a class?

  • Morning classes: allow around 30 minutes after a light meal

  • Midday or evening classes: allow about 2 hours after a larger meal

What do I need for the class?

You do not need any special equipment.

If available, you may use:

  • a yoga mat

  • a blanket

  • cushions or a belt

Household alternatives always work. There is no need to buy new props.

What if I have an injury or medical condition?

It is your responsibility to assess whether a class is suitable for you.

  • Please consult your doctor if you have an injury or medical condition

  • Stop if you experience pain or discomfort

Adaptiv Yoga Nordic does not provide medical treatment or therapy.

Is this yoga therapy?

No. The practices are intended to support self-regulation, awareness, and wellbeing, not to replace medical or therapeutic care.

What if I am pregnant?

Adaptiv Yoga Nordic does not offer pregnancy-specific classes. Simple adaptations may be suggested, but during pregnancy we recommend practicing with a certified prenatal yoga teacher. You are welcome to rejoin regular classes when ready.

Do I need to have my camera on during online classes?

No. The camera is always optional.

If your camera is on, it may help the teacher offer more precise guidance but the choice is entirely yours.

How should I place my camera if it is on?

If possible, place the camera to the side so your full body is visible. If not, we work with what is available.

When should I arrive?

  • Online classes: 5 minutes before start

  • In-person sessions: 10 minutes before start

What if I can’t attend a class I booked?

Refunds are not offered. If you are unable to attend, you may:

  • rebook another class of equal value

  • with no time limit

Do gift cards expire?

No. Gift cards do not have an expiration date.

Do you offer in-person classes?

At present, open in-person classes are offered at Yogahuset Nesodden. Go to events to see dates. If you want to book a 1:1 or a group class for your organisation, get in-touch directly.
